Hodnet school is in the process of joining The 3-18 Education Trust. The planned conversion date is January 2024 and so far things are on track to meet this expected date. Updates will be posted on this page to keep stakeholders updated. 

Last academic year, Mrs Lyall, Mr Freeman and the full governing body at Hodnet school made the decision to research and investigate academisation options for our school, we contacted a number of local trusts and invited them to speak to us.  We quickly felt a strong sense of unity between the 3-18 trusts values and vision and that of our own. We knew that they were the trust for us, they are successful, aspirational, like minded and want the very best for the children and staff in their schools.  At our summer term governors meeting we voted unanimously to join the trust. After a period of due diligence we have received DFE confirmation that our academisation will go ahead as proposed. We already feel very much part of the trusts family of schools; we have been welcomed by all members of the trust and the other trust schools, we have started to share good practise, we are participating in trust events and  are working with members of the trust on our school development areas since June 2023.  This is an exciting time for our school, we are very keen to embark on this new chapter, enabling our school to grow and flourish within the opportunities that will be available to us as part of a successful Multi Academy Trust.
